A successful mortgage professional has shared some top tips on how to get the most out of a mentor relationship when establishing an independent brokerage. 

Having recently embarked upon the journey of starting her own brokerage after breaking away from a large company, mortgage broker Bianca Patterson has emphasised that the best way to gain a solid foothold is through “learning by example”.

Ms Patterson, who worked for Momentum Wealth for over six years, has recently struck out on her own and is now approximately a month away from launching her own business. She explained to The Adviser that the support of business mentors has been key to gaining an understanding of how to build a successful business.
